The Gulfstar Sailmaster 39 has undergone extensive outfitting for passage making and has been meticulously maintained by its owner. Every piece of equipment has been inspected, replaced if necessary, upgraded, or rebuilt. Over $100,000 has been invested in this refit to bring the vessel to its current exceptional condition. It is now ready to be sailed and enjoyed by its new owner.
The Gulfstar Sailmaster 39 offers one of the most spacious interiors for a sailboat under 40 feet on the market. It is considered one of the best liveaboard and coastal cruiser designs for couples. It receives high praise in every port of call for its beautiful lines and elegant appearance. The sailboat is a 39’7″ aft cockpit design with entry to the main salon down five easy steps. A complete navigation station is located on the starboard side just below the companionway.
The work area of the Gulfstar Sailmaster 39 extends almost from one side of the vessel to the other. On the port side, there is a large tool storage cabinet. The salon features large eye-level windows that span the length of the cabin, providing a light and airy atmosphere below deck. Custom Lexan shaded panels are installed over the windows to minimize brightness from sunlight. The salon also includes L-shaped settees on both the port and starboard sides, which can be converted into double berths. Between the settees, there is an oversized custom dining table that can accommodate 7 people. The base of the table serves as a double-ended custom storage cabinet. Other features in the salon include a 17″ flat-screen LG TV and JVC DVD player mounted behind the starboard settee, illuminated pictures, custom lamps, and a half-hull model, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Moving down one step leads to the L-shaped galley, which is separated from the salon by a half partition. The galley is equipped with a large stainless steel sink, pot/pan storage area, sliding door cabinets, a two-burner stove with an oven, a large refrigerated storage box, and a custom-made cupboard. Additionally, a lift-up hinged floor panel provides easy access to dry storage below.
The head of the Gulfstar Sailmaster 39 is equipped with a new Sealand Vacu-flush toilet system, making it convenient to use. The separate stand-up shower includes a seat and shelving for easy wet storage. Behind a shelf in the head, there is an easy-access door to all of the Vacu-flush system components. The head also features a vanity with a round sink, medicine cabinet, large oval mirror, and an opening stainless steel port for ventilation. The master stateroom boasts an oversized V berth with a 6″ foam mattress and custom cabinets on both the port and starboard sides. Additional storage options in the master stateroom include a hanging closet, three drawers, and other compartments.
The Gulfstar Sailmaster 39 has a large roof hatch that provides ample airflow during hot nights at anchor. The V berth area also includes an access door to the anchor locker and the base of the Ideal windlass. In the cockpit, there is a pedestal-mounted wheel, up-to-date instrumentation, a full standing height bimini and dodger, remote VHF speakers, stereo speakers, shower, and a teak cockpit table. The sailboat features a custom-built aluminum radar arch that carries the radar, wind generator, solar panel, TV antenna, and air horn. Attached to the arch is a removable set of davits with hoists, making it easy to hoist a hard bottom dinghy. The bow of the boat has a substantial pulpit with handles and is equipped with both Bruce and CQR anchors. Handling the ground tackle is made easy with a vertical windlass with chain access.
